Multiple Dates

Updated through December 2021

Covid-19: We take safety very seriously in the forge. This last year due to state mandated lockdowns we were required to shutter our doors for months at a time. Going forward our policy is as follows: We have always limited class spaces to increase the amount of attention each student recieves in order to deliver the quality of instruction we believe you deserve. Classes are limited to 3 people in each class and we request that if you are experiencing any symptoms or signs of Covid or have a positive test that you reschedule for a future date out of respect for the others who will be attending with you. We intend to have dates through the first quarter of 2022 online shortly.

This is intended to be an add on class for our existing weekend class http://knifeclass20.eventzilla.net for 2021/22 dates. As opposed to our other offered classes, this is not about knife making, rather it is a class on making pattern welded (also known as Damascus) steel that will be used in the following 2 day weekend class. We will be holding this class on all dates through December 2021. Class is held on Friday's, starting at 9am and going until completion of the project. In class you will learn the fundementals of forge welding science, layout of materials and useage of machines such as our hydraulic press and rolling mill. The goal is to make a billet of random pattern Damascus steel for use in the following two day of class, as opposed to the monosteel which is normally used. We highly recommend booking the Weekend Class date first after finding a Friday date that will work with your schedule, then returning to purchase this add on! Follow the URL listed above for more information. If you are interested in scheduling this class without taking the proceeding weekend class, please call us first at 717-469-5802 and we will check the feasability as we may have students for those dates who are not interested in this additional package.
